So I youtubed how to do it myself.
And just did it. It took forever, hurt my neck, shoulders and hands, but I think it looks pretty good for my first shot. I got better each round and hope that continues.
The important detail, Tariku LOVES it, this is all that matters because he's just so sweet.
The only thing that really bothers me about this round is that I didn't really measure the rows so some are too big for my liking. Next time!
I forget how striking his features are when his hair is shorter/not in an afro. He is so beautimous.

Love it!! You did a great job! I was just thinking that the weather is getting nicer, so it is time for cornrows again! He is a beauty with rows or "big" hair!
Wow! A fine job indeed! You are beautimous and so is Tariku. Congratulations!
I think you did awesome for your first try! :) Your boy is gorgeous.
Impressed.
Tesi you did great!
don't worry the more you do it the easier it gets!
He looks like an even more handsome Karate Kid!
Tesi that`s really great for a first time!!
And he looks so so beautiful <3
okay, get your tush up here, and do Meron's! I will supply wine, chocolate and cookie dough! Seriously, he is a beautiful child! And you rocked the rows!
Phenomenal! I bet the more you do it, the more adept and quick you will be at it. A few of the women in our guest house in Ethiopia braided my hair and they flew when they did and it was perfect, thus practice, perfect, all that. Bravo to you!
OMgoodness....you just rock! That is great!
Nice work Momma! Getting straight parts are the hardest part for me!
Great job!!! You will be amazed at how much practice will help. I know the focus is on girls, but www.happygirlhair.com is worth a look. You can search for cornrows and see Katie's advice (and she is my super cool neighbor!) She occasionally will talk about boy hair, too.
